Sylheter Sokal Desk :: Renowned folk singer Bari Siddiqui has passed away at Square Hospitals in Dhaka early Friday.
He breathed his last around 2 am on Friday while undergoing treatment.He had been kept on life support at Square Hospitals since he fell sick.
The noted composer and flutist, who had been suffering from multiple complications, was admitted to the hospital on November 17 after he suffered a cardiac arrest.
He was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital and was put on life support as his condition deteriorated, said doctors.
His son Sabbir Siddiqui confirmed the news.
He said: “His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at Dhaka University Mosque premises at 9:30 am while the second namaz-e-janaza will be held at 10:30 am.”
“His third namaz-e-janaza will be held in Netrakona in the afternoon and he will be laid to rest at our village home,” added Sabbir.
